Clarke ready for challenge against England

Australian Captain Michael Clarke is ready for the challenge against England for the five ODI series after their loss in five match test series by 3-0.

“ODI and Test cricket are different form of cricket. We are in second in ODI and fifth in Test ranking. So I think there is a big difference,” said skipper Clarke.

Clarke further describes, “we have got a lot of young players in our ODI team. We have not been consistent. If we aim to win ODI after test defeat we need to play consistently. ”

“As a captain of Australia team I am accountable for the team’s performance especially when you are not performing well and also the team is losing the games. I understand that. But my desire to win the series has nothing to do with my captaincy,” describes Clarke.

“We do not want to look for our defeat in test match series. We just want to play our normal game and get the winning momentum back in our team. We want to improve in the shorter version of the game and get back being the number one team in the world, states the captain.

England and Australia will play the first game of the five match ODI series on September six.
