Century Bank, Institute of Medicine and Verisk IT made it to the semi-finals of the Seagram’s Royal Stag Six-a-side Corporate Indoor Cricket Tournament on Friday.
In the first quarter-final match, Century Bank hammered Mega Bank by 76 runs. Century Bank made 133 in 12 overs with 23 runs each from Bishnu Tiwari and Subash Sharma. Mega were folded for 57 runs in 12 overs. Nabin Shrestha made 26 runs for Mega.
Institute of Medicine routed Terai Television by 120 runs. Terai TV were restricted to a meager total of 24 runs in 12 overs after Urgen Lama and Jayant Yadav picked up two wickets each. Institute of Medicine replied with a mammoth 144 with Gajendra Chaudhary making 23 and Jayant Yadav chipping in 19.
Verisk IT eased past Buddha Air by 44 runs after making 114 runs batting first. Buddha Air were restricted to 70 in reply despite Devendra KC making 29 runs. Sujendra posted a match-high 33 for Verisk, while Ujen Bajracharya made 18.
The final team to make it to the last four will be decided through Saturday’s last quarter-final match between The British Council and Alaap Traders. Saturday will also see the semi-finals and final.
