Captain Kane Williamson played an inning of 70 not out to set four wickets win against Pakistan in the second ODI played at Sharjah Cricket Ground, UAE. With this win New Zealand level the five match ODI series 1-1.
New Zealand chased the target of 253 runs in 46 overs losing their six wickets. Williamson, who was elected as man of the match scored his sixth fifty in his last seven matches. Williamson played 91 balls for his not out 70 with help of seven boundaries. Apart from Williamson Anton Devcich also contributed 58 runs from 66 balls to help New Zealand win the match.
Earlier Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. They were all out in 48.3 overs making a moderate score of 252 runs. Mohammad Hafeez was the highest run scorer for Pakistan who made 76 runs while Captain Misba Ul Haq also contributed 47 runs.
The third match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played at the same venue on coming Sunday.
