Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday interviewed the candidates for the one available post for Chief Executive Officer and Finance Manager.
CAN had shortlisted five candidates for the post of CEO and four for Finance Manager and in the presence of representatives from International Cricket Council (ICC), National Sports Council (NSC), CAN and experts, the nine final applicants were interviewed.
CAN Acting General Secretary Uttam Karmacharya said it will announce the names on Sunday. “We will have a board meeting on Saturdaywhere we will discuss about the recommendation from ICC, NSC and experts before making the decision on Sunday,” said Karmacharya.
The experts involved in the interview were Prof Dr Govinda Prasad Acharya, Som Pudasaini and Ananda Raj Sharma, while ICC representative Ammar Sheikh, NSC Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama and CAN acting president TB Shah were also in the interview panel.
CAN were directed to recruit a full-time paid administrator by the ICC during their last visit on February. Following the delay in the process, CAN had failed to get hold of the funds from the international governing bodies.
