CAN names ACC U-19 Premier final squad

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Sunday announced the final 14-member squad for the upcoming ACC U-19 Premier to be held in Kuwait from November 7-15.

Raju Rijal will lead the team with Aarif Sheikh named his deputy. Raju was already named as the skipper of the team by the cricket governing body.

 

Other members in the team include Irshad Ahmed, Ashish Dhami, Shankar Rana, Prem Tamang, Saurav Khanal, Sandeep Sunar, Yogendra Karki, Sushil Kandel, Sunil Dhamala, Dipeh Shrestha, Dipendra Airee and Arjun Chapagain.

 

Niraj Mukhiya, Heman Rai, Kushal Bhurtel and Rajbir Singh have been named reserve players. Nepal will compete alongside Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

 

The ACC U-19 Premier has been launched for the first first time by the Asian Cricket Council that involves a roun-robin-league between the ACC non-Test playing teams categorised in the premier group.

 

Afghanistan are the champions of the previous edition of ACC U-19 Elite. NEPAL’S FIXTURES
