CAN fails to finalise names of CEO, Finance Manager

The board meeting of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Saturday failed to finalise the names for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Finance Manager on Saturday.

The board meeting at the CAN’s new office in Mulpani instead concluded taking decisions over appointment of officials for two international tournaments and decision to hand over national cricket team members with Rs 150,000 each for their participation in the World Twenty20.

While the meeting also decided to hold the general assembly from November 28-29, it concluded on handing over the working contract agreement to coach Pubudu Dassnayake next week.

CAN have said that it will announce the names of the CEO and Finance Manager a day after its board meeting but after some technical delays, the announcement has been pushed for at least next seven days.

“It’s just a technical aspect that we need to sort out now. The names will be announced after our next meeting,” said CAN acting general secretary Uttam Karmacharya adding the next meet will be either on Friday or Sunday.

The meeting named Deepak Saud as the manager for the ICC World Cricket League Division-III to be held in Uganda from October 26 to November two and Dhirendra Saud for the ACC U-19 Premier slated for November 7-15 in Kuwait.
