Camp satsified with first victory

National team coach Pubudu Dassanayake said he was delighted with the end-result to begin the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers with a victory today.

Nepal defeated Denmark by five wickets after early hiccups reduced them to 0-2 in the first to overs.
However, powerpacked performance from skipper Paras Khadka handed Nepal a convincing victory at the end.
“It was good to start with a win. Though we could not finished the match as we could have done. Bowlers did well to restrict them in low score. Our players are good enough for the tournament but need some confidence.
We wanted our run rate to go high so we asked to go for a big shot after Paras and Subash added some runs in the board,” Dassanayake told cricketingnepal.com in Dubai.
Skipper Paras was also a satisfied man. “We are pretty happy to start our match with a win. This will give more confidence for next game. We had a bad start in our chase.
But all credit goes to bowlers to restrict opponent in pretty low score. We will keep improving in upcoming matches,” added the skipper.
