Dwayne Bravo, West Indies ODI captain is expected to return back to the team for the upcoming home series against New Zealand recovering from shoulder injury.
Bravo was ruled out from the remaining match of Indian Premier League from the team of Chennai as he suffered shoulder injury while diving to catch the ball during their opening match of IPL against Kings XI Punjab.
Bravo has been included in the preliminary list of 20 players’ squad who will set a preparatory camp in Barbados.
“I am getting better now. I can say that I am 80 percent fit and will be fully fit before the start of the tournament against New Zealand in home. Still there is some work to be done for my shoulder to get recovery as soon as possible and I expect it to be good by the time,” said Bravo.
Bravo who is hoping to get return back to the test side of West Indies team is expected to join the team in Barbados by Thursday or Friday.
New Zealand will tour West Indies for three test matches and two T20s starting with the test match from June eight at Kingston.
