Boom Boom views after losing ODI against Zimbabwe

Boom boom Afridi, his nick name, Shahid Afridi of Pakistan says that losing the first One day International of series against Zimbabwe was a shocking. He further states that the the lost will not benefit the status and reputation of Pakistan cricket team.


Afridi who was a part of One day and T20 team which played two T20s and three ODIs shared his view during his arrival at Pakistan. He describes “We all were really disappointed winning the first match of the series. It was extremely a shocking moment for all of us.”


Afridi who came back home because of fever added that “Lost against Zimbabwe really came as as shocker to all of us. This is really bad. We are much more stronger team than Zimbabwe. Looking at our reputation, status and rakning we should not have lost the match.”


Afridi also stated that they took Zimbabwe as a weak side and underestimated. This is why Pakistan lost the match and paid the price of their complacency.


In the next two matches we really worked hard and did not repeat our mistakes which helped us to win the remaining two matches and clinched the series 2-1. 


The allrounder said that the series against South Africa would be a tough one and there would be no room for mistakes. “If we want to win the match against South Africa we should not make the silly mistakes that we made against Zimbabwe” added Boom Boom Afridi.


Pakistan and South Africa will play Two Test matches, five ODIs and two T20s in UAE which will start from October 14 this year.
