Bajaj Pulsar, the authorised producers and distributors of Nepal, has been roped in as the title sponsor of the upcoming edition of the Everest Premier League.
The most successful Twenty20 franchise competition of the country is slated to be held from September 25 at the TU grounds. Bajaj Pulsar’s mother company Golchha Organisation and EPL Pvt Ltd signed an agreement during a press conference on Monday.
The sponsorship amount for the tournament remains undisclosed. The tournament will now be named as Bajaj Pular Everest Premier League.
Golchha Organisation Managing Directors Sheikhar Golchha also unveiled the EPL trophy during the programme. EPL consists of six franchises including Lalitpur Patriots, Biratnagar Warriors, Bhairahawa Gladiators, Pokhara Rhinos, Chitwan Tigers and Kathmandu KIngs XI.
Lalitpur Patriots are the defending champions. The tournament was postoponed last year due to surge in Corona Virus cases across Asia.
