Bailey score record 28 runs in an over

Australian batsman George Bailey equalized Brian Lara’s Test record for the most runs in an over against England in Perth on Monday.


Earlier Legendary batsman Lara had hit 28 runs in an over from Robin Peterson of South Africa in the year 2003 at Johannesburg.


Bailey equalized with Lara when he hit 28 runs in an over off fast bowler James Anderson in the final over of Australia’s second innings on the fourth day of the third test.


Bailey who is playing his only third test match hit three sixes, two fours and a double run in an over.


He scored four, six, two runs, four, six and six in an over to equalize the test record set by Lara.


Bailey also passed the most runs in an over from Australia made by Mitchhel Johnson of 26 runs in an over.


Bailey who was left unbeaten on 39 runs from 30 ball had started the over with 11 runs from 24 runs.
