Australian captain Michael Clarke skipped training session and took rest because of his ankle injury on Tuesday.
Clarke who is regarded as one of the Australian best batsman rolled his right ankle during a training session on Monday. But still he batted in nets without any sign of discomfort.
“Michael Clarke is not training with team as he rolled his right ankle on Monday. Now his ankle is a bit stiff and sore. He will train from tomorrow and will be available for the 2nd test match against England in Ashes,” team’s spoke person told reporters in Adelaide.
Clarke who scored century as host won the first match of five match Ashes series by huge margin of 381 runs has been suffering from back problem from past several years.
