Nepal confirmed to play at the Lord's again

Nepal have been confirmed to play in cricket's Mecca at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London once again next year as Marylebone Cricket Club's official website confirmed on Wednesday.


The national cricket team has visited twice at the Lord's – once they began the tour in 2016. Their first to England with a 50-over match against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) with whom Nepal have been able to make healthy ties for the last three years.

MCC, which governs the laws of the game and is the oldest club of the world, recently visited Nepal playing a 3-day First Class cricket match against the national team along with a 50-over game and one Twenty20 with Nepal's young side earlier this month.

MCC's official website lords.org confirmed on Wednesday that Nepal will be visiting England to play the club at the iconic Lord's on August 24. 

"Nepal will visit Lord’s to face MCC on Monday 24th August. The Club has recently toured Nepal and their national side has been awarded ODI status since their last visit to Lord’s in 2016," MCC posted in the statement. MCC so far have visited Nepal thrice.
