A composed half century from Bishal
Bikram KC was the only bright spot as Nepali colts' dismal show in the U-19 One
Day Challenger Trophy continued in Hyderabad, India, on Wednesday.

Bundled out for just 116 against
India 'C' on Monday, Nepal got some opportunity to test their bowling prowess
only to go down to India 'A' by 107 runs. Electing to field first, Nepali
bowlers did well by squeezing out India for a below par 247 in 48.2 overs.
Barring No 3 batsman Bishal, Nepal's
top and middle order terribly flopped after they were reduced to 49-6 in 18.4
overs. Bishal and Sher Malla then saved Nepal from humiliation adding 56 runs
for the seventh wicket as the scores crossed triple figures.
Sher made 21 off 52 balls with
three boundaries. Bishal was the ninth man down making 71 from 126 deliveries
that included 11 hits to the fence. Akash Chand was unbeaten on 19 from 36 with
three boundaries.
Nithish Kumar Reddy and Sameer
Haseen Rizvi took two wickets each for India.
Earlier, No 6 batsman Dhruva Chand
Jurel top scored for India with a 65-ball 74 that included six fours and three
sixes. Openers Yahsasvi Jaiswal (33) and Sai Sudharsan (34) were other notable
scorers for the hosts along with Reddy (30).
Sher took 3-54 from 10 overs from
Nepal. Aaksh also had two scalps, while Pratish GC and Hari Bahadur Chauhan
also snared one apiece. Nepal will now play India 'B' on Friday.
