Pokhara Premier League pushed to December 14-28

Queens Event Management Pvt Ltd on Monday pushed the dates for the upcoming Pokhara Premier League due to a busy schedule of national cricketers.

One of the most popular franchise Twenty20 competitions of the country, that takes place in Nepal's most famous tourist destination Pokhara, was initially scheduled for November 12-23. But after it was learnt that the tournament was going to coincide with two important tours, the dates had to be pushed further.

The new date has been set for December 14-28. On November 1, world's oldest cricket club Marylebone Cricket Club of England are visiting Nepal for a 13-day tour to play against the local sides. MCC are scheduled to play matches in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Likewise, the junior cricketers will also be visiting Hyderbad, India, for a cricket tournament organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India during the same time frame. MCC has been frequently visiting Nepal to play friendly matches.

PPL includes six franchises in Pokhara Paltan, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Royals, Biratnagar Titans, Dhangadhi Blues and Butwal Blasters. Paltan are the defening champions.
