Sagar Dhakal starred with the ball before Pawan Sarraf blitzed with the bat as Nepal entered the semi-finals of the ACC U-19 Eastern Region Tournament with a crushing 10-wicket victory over lowly China at the Kinrara Oval in Malaysia on Wednesday.

After the pull out of Myanmar, the Group 'A' consists of just three teams and with China losing both of their matches, Nepal sailed it through with one match against Singapore in hand. The two teams will play on Friday to decide the group winners.

Electing to field first, Nepal skittled out China for just 53 runs in 23.1 overs. Pawan did the rest smashing a 21-ball 46 in an unbroken 57-run partnership in just five overs. Pawan struck six boundaries and three sixes. Rit made a run-a-ball 10.

Tian Sen Qun conceded 33 runs in his three overs. Zhuoyue Chen was hammered for 16 runs in an over.

Earlier, Guohao Gao and Liang Chen shared 18-run partnership before the Chinese innings came crumbling down. Left arm spinner Sagar gave the breakthrough in the sixth over as China went on to lose 10 wickets with addition of just 35 runs.

Both the Chinese openers made 13 runs each while other batsmen failed to reach double figures. Man-of-the-match Sagar returned the figures of 6-19 in 9.1 overs.

Debutant Tilak Raj Bhandari picked three wickets in his seven overs, giving away 15 runs. Kamal Singh Airee was economical with the figures of 1-9 in five overs.
