Sita's APF win the title of Prime Minister Cup Women's Twenty20

Armed Police Force (APF) outplayed Sudur Paschim Province by six-wicket to lift the title of Prime Minister Women's Cup Twenty20 on Wednesday at Mahendranagar.

Sita Rana Magar won the toss and invited Sudur Paschim to bat first. Sita and Karuna Bhandari picked three wickets each to restrict Sudur Paschim on the below par 71-9 in 20 overs. Then, collective batting effort from APF's top-order helped them to reach 74-4 in 15 overs.

APF was awarded with five lakh prize-money while Sudur Paschim got the first runner-up award with  three lakh cash prize.

Indu Barma top scored for the winning side with 18-ball 22 that included four shots to the fence. Similarly, Sita added 18 runs from 28 balls with a four. Opener Jyoti Pandey was another batswomen to score in double-figure with 31-ball 17 laced with two fours.

Janaki Bhatta's 2-17 in four overs ended on losing side.

Earlier, player-of-the-match Sita was on the top of her game with the figures of 3-5 in her two overs. Likewise, Karuna picked the equal three wickets, giving away nine runs in her three overs. 

Rubi Podar and Kabita Kunwar shared innings define 44-run stand for the fifth wicket. Rubi scored 24 runs off 45 balls with a four while Kabita added 35-ball 22 consisting of as many boundary. None of the other batswomen touched the double-digit for the losing side.
