Lalit Rajbanshi's destructive spell led Nepal Police Club (NPC) into the final of Prime Minister Cup 2019, beating Armed Police Force (APF) by five-wicket on Thursday.
Electing to field first, spinners led by Lalit bundled-out APF on the below-par total of 41 runs in 22.1 overs. Then, APF were making it interesting with quick wickets before Pawan Sarraf's cameo helped them to reach 45-5 in 9.3 overs.

NPC will face Tribhuwan Army Club in the final on Saturday.

None of the batsman scored in double-digit for APF as Prithu Baskota and Sharad Vesawkar scored maximum seven runs each.

Lalit was phenomenal with the figures of 4-8 in his six overs. He took care of skipper Basant Regmi (zero), Sandeep Jhora (five), Kamal Singh Airee (one) and Dipendra Rawat (two) in his match-winning spell. Kushal Bhurtel also returned the figures of 3-7 in his five overs that included a maiden. Similarly, Sagar Dhakal picked three wickets in his 8.1 overs giving away just 15 runs.

In reply, Basant and Sharad made it bit tricky with quick wicket but Pawan had different plan. He scored unbeaten 21 runs off 14 balls with four hits to the fence. Dipendra Singh Airee also added 14-ball 13 with two fours.

Basant returned the figures of 3-20 in his five overs while Sharad ended with 2-22 in his 4.3 overs.
