May 15, 2019 | CN Staff |

Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, Dipendra Airee and Rohit Kumar Paudel are among the 536 players enlisted in the draft list of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019.

This is the first instance where four players from Nepal get enlisted in the draft list of any international franchise league.

Sandeep became first player from Nepal to participate in CPL last year, when he represented St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Besides Sandeep, CPL's draft list released on Wednesday includes Nepal's pace bowling spearhead Sompal, and two of the wheel of Nepal's batting lineup, Dipendra and Rohit.

The draft is scheduled to be held on May 22. CPL will be held in the month of September later this year.

Sandeep had just returned to Nepal after completing his duty for Delhi Capitals in Indian Premier League while Rohit was leading Nepal under-19 cricket team in the world cup qualifier. Sompal and Dipendra have been engaged in different domestic leagues which are taking place inside the country.

Rohit became youngest male cricketer to score international half-century after he scored 55 runs against United Arab Emirates in the second ODI earlier this year.
