Yagyaman takes seven wickets in huge APF victory

Yagyaman Kumal’s fast bowling masterpiece helped Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club to a crushing 92-run victory over the Manmohan Memorial Cup One Day National in Inaruwa on Friday.

Batting first, APF were all out for a below-par 154 in 36 overs. Man-of-the-match Yagyaman did the picking up seven wickets to bundle out Province 1 for just 62 runs in 17.5 overs.

Man-of-the-match Yagyaman bowled exceptionally returning the figures of 7-16 from five overs which so far is his best bowling in domestic cricket.

Bhuwan Karki also took two wickets, while Kamal Singh Airee bowled miserly taking 1-3 from five overs. Barring Dipesh Kandel (19) and Firdosh Ansari (11), none of the Province 1 batsman managed to reach double digits.

Earlier, Kamal Singh Airee and Aasif Sheikh contributed 33 runs each to push APF towards a respectable total. Puran BK (28) was the other other notable scorer for APF.

Dipesh was the leading bowler for Province 1 taking four wickets and Siddhant Lohani had three scalps with his leg spin bowling. Mukunda Yadav also took two wickets for the losing side.
