Nepal to play bilateral ODI, T20 Series in the UAE

Dec 19, 2018 | CN Staff |

Nepal are set to play One Day International (ODI) Series and Twenty20 Series against the United Arab Emirates in January next year.

Although Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) continues to remain under International Cricket Council suspension, national cricket team itself has coordinated with world cricket governing body for the series.

Nepal will play five international matches and the format will depend according to what will be agreed upon prior to the series. If Nepal play three ODI, it will be involved in two Twenty20 Internationals and vice versa.

The complete details of the series including the schedule will be released soon, one of the national cricket team members to cricketingnepal.com.

Nepal had earned One Day International (ODI) status early this year in March, after they finished eighth in the ICC World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe. They have so far played three ODIs beginning with a two-match series away the Netherlands in August.

The next ODI match was also against the UAE which they played during the ACC Asia Cup Qualifiers in Malaysia.
