The Everest Premier League has just got bigger. From South African juggernaut Richar Levi to Associate cricket's finest player Ryan ten Doeschate of the Netherlands, the inclusion of some of the high profile names has now put Nepali domestic cricket in a global spectrum. Beginning from December 8 at the TU grounds, six city-based franchises will sweat it out to get their hands into the title. A tournament like EPL will definitely help to bring out the real image of Nepali cricket.

In this section, Roshan Dhital brings you all about foreign recruits in the EPL beginning with last season's runners-up Bhairahawa Gladiators. Dutch cricketer Ryan ten Doeschate leads the list of Gladiators' foreign signing followed by United Arab Emirates cricketer Mohammad Nabi and experienced Indian Ranji cricketer Ravi Inder Singh.

Ryan ten Doeschate (the Netherlands)

Veteran Ten Doeschate is now 38 years old but along with him, the Dutch will bring plent of experiences he has gained through his globetrotting cricket career. Doeshate is considered as 'one of the finest players Associate cricket has ever produced". His commendable career includes three ICC Associate Player of the Year awards which he received in 2008, 2010 and 2011. He represents Essex in the English County and holds an envious average of 67.00 in ODI cricket.

He has scored 1,541 runs in 33 appearances for the Dutch side including five centuries. A medium pace bowler, Ten Doeschate has also taken 55 wickets. He averages 42 in Twenty20 Internationals with 252 runs and 12 wickets. Apart from his national team exploits, Ten Doeschate has a staggering 27 First-Class centuries and has amassed 10,283 runs across 174 matches.

Doeschate is equally handy with the ball having picked up 212 First-Class wickets. In List A, he has scored 5,826 runs and 173 wickets in 219 appearances. He was crucial member of the Kolkata Knight Riders team that won the Indian Premier League twice. He played for Knight Riders for five years.

Mohammad Naveed

Emirati pace bowling spearhead Naveed is going to be another big asset for Gladiators who now aim to get one step better by winning the EPL title. The 31-year-old Naveed has taken 29 wickets for the national side from 22 Twenty20 Internationals and has also taken 42 wickets from 31 one-dayers. He has 103 wickets in his 72 List-A appearances. Naveed featured for Toronto Nationals during inaugural season of Global Twenty20 Canada. He was also named in Kandahar's squad in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League. With an ability to muscle some hits over the rope, Naveed has already proved his worth when he played for champions Pokhara Paltans in the Pokhara Premier League.

Ravi Inder Singh

Experienced batsman Singh has made six First-Class centuries with 2,378 runs in 44 matches. He has 540 Twenty20 runs including 5 half-centuries in 20 appearances. He averages 47.70 in List-A with 1431 runs in 36 matches. He scored maximum 260 runs in recently concluded Pokhara Premier League's six innings, representing Vesawkar's victorious Pokhara Paltans. His 90 runs in the final against Paras Khadka-led Chitwan Rhinos has already suggested that the No 3 batsman will be a key member for Gladiators this season.
