Royals make it two-in-two

Kathmandu Royals registered their second consecutive victory with Gaurav Tomar once again striking a half century in the Pokhara Premier League with a five-wicket victory over Biratnagar Titans at the Pokhara Stadium on Monday. 
The second consecutive victory has given Royals an edge for the top three spot. Royals sit at the third spot on net run rate behind another unbeaten side Butwal Blasters and Pokhara Paltan who have played a game more. 

Batting first, Tomar struck a 46-ball 66 and held the Royals innings in reply to Titans' 149-7. After losing Jay Kishan Kolsawala (14) in the third over, Tomar got involved in two crucial partnership beginning with a 52-run partnership with Amit Shrestha. 

Amit made 35 off 33 with six boundaries. He then added another 42 runs for the fourth wicket with skipper Gyanendra Malla (17) as Royals sniffed victory. Man-of-the-match Tomar hit six fours and three boundaries.  Shahab Alam took two wickets for Titans.

Sandeep Lamichhane's Titans had a decent start after their Indian recruit Muhammad Zaid Alam and Sunil Dhamala beginning with a 67-run partnership. Dhamala scored 30 off 29 with three sixes and a four. 

Alam added another 47 runs for the third wicket with Rajesh Pulami Magar who scored 30 from 27 with a six and a four. Despite the great start, the middle and lower middle order failed to cash in on the start. 

Alam made 67 off 47 with seven boundaries and four sixes. Sushan Bhari Shrestha, Basanta Regmi and Tomar took two wickets each for Royals.
