Nepal VS Myanmar – head to head

Nepal will start their World T20 2020 playing against Myanmar on ICC World Twenty20 Asia Region Qualifiers B today. The match that will kick-off at 12:15 PM NST will be played at Kinrara Oval in Malaysia.

Myanmar is a new opponent for Nepal in T20 matches. Nepal is currently an ODI status team while Myanmar crawling to make count in cricket. Nepal and Myanmar is playing for the first time against each other. But Nepal has a record win against Myanmar in their only meeting in 50-overs match.

Nepal had defeated Myanmar in just two ball in 50-overs match by 10-wickets during ACC Trophy back in 2006. Nepal bundled Myanmar for just 10 runs in 12.1 overs. Five players from Myanmar scored 1 runs each while remaining six could not even open their run account. Nepal conceded five extras, three leg byes and two wides.

Left-arm fast bowler Mehboob Alam took seven wicket in his 6.1 overs spell conceding just three runs with three maiden overs while another fast bowler Binod Das had three wickets in his name in six overs conceding just four runs with two maiden overs.

Chasing a low target of just 11 runs in 50 overs, Nepal finished the match in just two balls. Mahesh Chhetri and Dhirendra Chand, both the opener played one ball each and scored three runs each. Nepal got five runs as extra.
