Netherlands have won the toss and elected to bat first against Nepal in the latter's historic One Day International (ODI) match at the VRA Grounds in Amstelveen on Wednesday.

Shakti Gauchan will be playing his debut, and what could be his last ODI, outside Nepal for the national team. Shakti has already announced that the Netherlands tour was going to be his last declaring he will retire after playing one last ODI at home.

National team coach Jagat Tamatta handed over the debut caps to the playing XI for Wednesday's match. In order, Tamatta handed over the caps to skipper Paras Khadka, Gyanendra Malla, Shakti Gauchan, Basanta Regmi, Sharad Vesawkar, Sompal Kami, Aarif Sheikh, Sandeep Lamichhane, Dipendra Singh Airee and Anil Sah.

Anil, who was in a sublime form in Nepal's tour of UK, is replacing Subash Khakurel and will be keeping the wickets. Shakti's inclusion means young Rohit Kumar Paudel will miss the country's first ODI.
