Robin's solo hit knocks out Mehboob's Heroes

Robin Singh struck a six off the last ball as Bode Barsain Thunders prevailed in a last ball thriller to beat Tilathi Koiladi Mahindra Heroes by five wickets in the first Mayor Cup Saptari Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament on Sunday
Electing to bat first at the Public Bindeshwori Secondary School grounds, Heroes made 163-6 in 20 overs after their skipper Mehboob Alam struck a tournament-high 76 from 48 balls.
Thunders were once cruising at 157-4 with just seven needed of the last over. But Rashid Khan turned the match into its head when he removed Shrawan Yadav in the first ball and bowled consecutive dots in the next two leaving still seven to win from three. 
Thunders managed to scamper for a bye each in the next two deliveries as five runs were needed in the final ball. Robin then ignited a wild celebration in the Thunders camp smashing Rashid for a six in the final ball. 
The third consecutive defeat has sent the Heroes packing as Thunders set the title clash with Khadak Warriors. 
Ankit Subedi had top scored for Thunders with a 38-ball 45 with four sixes and two boundaries. Skipper Siddhant Lohani was the next best scorer making 44 off 35 with three boundaries and two maximums. 
The two top scorers were adjudged the men-of-the-match. Allrounder Sandeep Dhungana scored 40 from 30 balls with four hits to the fence and two over the fence.  
Earlier, Mehboob made merry at the pitch doing most of the scoring in record 110-run partnership for the first wicket with Rahul Mandal who scored 26 runs. Mehboob's quickfire innings included eight sixes and three fours. 
Rashid also chipped in 16 runs to Heroes' total. Nandan Jha took three wickets and Sandeep had two scalps for the winning side. 
Rahul Mandal hit 26 while Rashid Khan scored 16 for the team. Nandan Jha returned the figures of 3-36 in his three overs while Sandeep Dhungana had two and Rohit Singh had one scalp for the Thunders.
In the fifth match on Monday, Thunders will take on Warriors.
