Province 7 defend low total to beat Province 6

Province No 7 defended a low total to defeat Province No 6 by 48 runs in a low scoring game of the Prime Minister Cup One Day National cricket tournament at the Mulpani cricket ground on Sunday.
Tek Salami took a five-for to bundle out Province 7 for just 125 in 31.3 overs. That five-wicket haul from Tek was anulled by Sher Malla after he picked up 5-21 from 7.2 overs as Province 6 were skittled out for just 77 in 22.2 overs.
Opener Rabindra Jung Shahi was the lone fighter for Province 6 with a 36-ball 29 and Diwan Pun (13) was their next batsman to reach double figures. Apart from man-of-the-match Sher, Binod Lama and Santosh Bhatta also took two wickets each for Province 7. 
Province 7 had an identical scorecard but the biggest contributor in Sanju Damai who made 54 from 71 balls with five fours and a six. Surendra Chand was another double figure scorer making 25 from 26 with five boundaries. 
Tek returned the figures of 5-12 and Dinesh Pun also took two wickets.
