Nepal to meet hosts Namibia in Division 2 opener

Nepal will meet Namibia in their opening match of he ICC World Cricket League Division 2 scheduled to begin from February 8 in the south African country.

The all-important Division 2 also features Oman, Canada, United Arab Emirates and Kenya with the top two teams after the round robin league securing spots in the 2018 ICC World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Zimbabwe in March. 

After the match against the hosts, Nepal will take on Oman on February before taking on the UAE on February 11. Their next two matches against Kenya is slated for February 12 and Canada on February 14. The final is slated for February 15. 

While Nepal, UAE, Namibia and Kenya were relegated from the World Cricket League Championship, Oman and Canada had won promotion from Division 3.

Nepal are currently preparing for the Division 2 tournament with 21 players undergoing the final round of closed camp. The team will fine tune their final preparations in the UAE before leaving for Division 2 in Namibia.
