Shahab Alam to replace Shakti Gauchan

Left arm spinner of the Nepali U-19 cricket team Shahab Alam has been called for the training with senior national side for match against Hong Kong on ICC World Cricket League Championship to be held in Hong Kong on October 13 and 15.

Alam has been called in place of veteran left arm spinner Shakti Gauchan who has informed coach Jagat Tamatta and captain Paras Khadka about his unavailability for Hong Kong tour as his Piles has not be fully cured.

Currently Alam is in close camp of U19 who are participating in U19 Asia Cup Qualifiers to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 8th to 17th November. Alam who took 12 wickets in five matches he played during recently held ICC U19 World Cup Qualifiers held at Singapore will join National side with his team mates Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee after returning from Malaysia.

National team has sent email for an approval to ICC for replacing Alam in place of Gauchan.
