Jun 29, 2017 | Kaushal Adhikari |

English fast bowler Jake Ball is set to miss first Test match against South Africa due to knee strain which is set to be played on July 6 at Lord's Cricket Ground. Head coach Peter Moores confirmed about unavailability of Ball for at least two weeks.

Ball felt pain in his knee while bowling for Nottinghamshire's Specsaves County Championship against Kent on Tuesday. He underwent scan on Wednesday and found strain in knee. Now Ball will also miss Nottinghamshire's Royal London Cup final to be played on Saturday at Lord's.

The 26-years old Ball is still not sure to be back on team during South Africa tour of England.

Ball who made test debut against Pakistan last year in Lord's has just two wickets in his name in four innings he has played for England.
