Nepal to bowl first, Aarif replace Sagar

May 05, 2014 | Kaushal Adhikari |

Under 19 all rounder Aarif Sheikh has been included in the team as Nepal has won the toss and has elected to bowl first in the match against Hong Kong.

Sheikh who had impressed with his performance during U19 Asia Cup held in UAE some month back and recently concluded Senior One Day National Cricket tournament has been given a chance to play against Hong Kong replacing another all rounder Sagar Pun.

This is the first match for Sheikh in the senior team. Sheikh had earlier told before leaving for Malaysia that being in the team is it self a great opportunity. If given a chance to play for my country I will give up my 100 percentage.

Apart from Sheikh in the team in place of Sagar Pun all the other team is same as the last match against Oman where Nepal lost the match by two wickets in the low scoring match.

Nepal’s playing XI :- Paras Khadka (capt), Suvash Khakurel (wkt), Naresh Budayair, Gyanendra Malla, Meheboob Alam, Sharad Vesawkar, Binod Bhandari, Aarif Sheikh, Basant Regmi, Shakti Gauchan, Som Pal Kami
