McCullum to skip Zimbabwe and South Africa tour

New Zealand cricket team’s captain Brendon McCullum has expressed his desire to skip their tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa.

 

According to a press release issued by New Zealand Cricket Board, 33 years old McCullum has asked board to skip his tour citing he want to take rest from hectic cricket schedule. Board has also given green signal to McCullum.

 

McCullum who led New Zealand to World Cup final for the first time for his country in the recently held World Cup jointly in Australia and New Zealand, however will continue to lead the side for their home and away series against Australia at the end of this year and during T20 World Cup 2016 which will be held in India.
