Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club entered the semi-finals of the Ruslan
Attariya Cup Women’s Twenty20 with a crushing eight-wicket victory over
Kanchanpur Cricket Club on Friday.
Kanchanpur, who elected to field first, were bundled out for just 35 runs
in 12.3 overs after an all round bowling effort. Opener Bindu Rawal (five) and
Mamata Thapa (four) were the top scorers for Kanchanpur. They hit the only two
boundaries in their innings.
Sarita Magar, Sita Rana Magar, Karuna Bhandari and Binu Budha Magar took
two wickets each for APF who reached 36-2 in just five overs. Jyoti Pandey
scored an 11-ball 12 with two boundaries.
Player-of-the-match Sita (six) and Mamta Chaudhary (six not out) were the
second best scorers for APF. Dolly Bhatt took 2-18 from two overs for
Kanchanpur who now need to defeat Milan Cricket Club of Jhapa in their only
remaining Group ‘A’ match to reach the last four.
