South Arican fast bowler Morney Morkel will not be able to bowl anymore in the ongoing test match against India after he suffered from an ankle ligament injury at Wanderers on Friday.
Morkel twisted his right ankle when his foot got struck in the turf as he ran from fine leg to collect the ball. He though managed to throw the ball towards the wicket keeper but he immediately fell down, clutching his ankle.
Immediately after Morkel fell down everyone ran towards him and calling for stretcher. But he managed to walk off the field with the help of bowling coach Allan Donald and Captain Graeme Smith.
With Indian batsman batting in a style in second inning South Africa will be missing Morkel as he had impressed by his pace and bounce in the first inning and taking three wickets.
With this injury Morkel is in doubt of playing the second test match against India that starts from December 26 at Durban.
