ANFA President Ganesh Thapa has congratulated the national cricket team for its fine display in the ICC World Twenty20.
Revealing about his telephonic conversation to media during a press conference on Thursday, Thapa said he called national team skipper Paras Khadka and congratulated him for the achievement.
“I was not able to reach Paras due to my own busy schedule. I called him (Paras) and congratulated for Nepal’s achievement in the World Twenty20,” said Thapa.
In addition, the football governing body president proposed the national team for a friendly football match.
“I proposed a friendly between the natioanl team cricketers and former footballers. Paras was positive with my proposal and said his team ready to play the game,” added Thapa.
The current and former national team footballers supported Nepal during the ICC World Twenty20 wearing cricket jersey.
Nepal put on an impressive display in the World Twenty20 winning matches against Hong Kong and Afghanistan, in between losing to hosts Bangladesh.
