South Africa might be playing with its veteran players Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn in the second test match against Pakistan that starts from Wednesday at Abu Dhabi.
Amla who was expected to rejoin the team for the second match is at home for the birth of his second child.
Amla, one of the important members of the team who scored a century in the first test, could not join the team today as his wife has not given birth yet.
There has arises another bad news to South African team as their fast bowler Dale Steyn is also in doubt to play second test as he suffered hamstring injury during a practice session on Monday.
Steyn has not been in practice after that. According to South African team manager Mohamed Moosajee, Steyn has not slashed his hamstring, it is just a tightness in his right hamstring.
The final decision about Steyn will be taken on the Wednesday morning before the play start. If Steyn passed the fitness test then he will be playing the second test match.
Left handed batsman Dean Elgar is likely to replace Amla while Rory Keleinveldt will replace Steyn if he failed to go through fitness test.
