Amla grabs four awards in SA’s award ceremony

Hasim Amla has won four different category award during South Africa Cricket awards for 2013 held at Gala Cricket South Africa banquet in Sandton on Monday.

Amla won SA Cricketer of the Year, Sunfoil Test Cricketer of the Year, SA Fans’ Player of the Year and KFC ‘So Good’ Award: Hashim Amla (treble Test century).

 

Amla also became the third player to be South Africa’s Cricketer of the year award after Makhaya Ntini (in 2005 and 2006) and Jacques Kallis (in 2004 and 2011). Amla had won this award in the year 2010 also.

 

Other previous winners of this award were Shaun Pollock (2007), Dale Steyn (2008), Graeme Smith (2009) and Vernon Philander (2012).

 

Amla was nominated in Momentum ODI Player of the year award too but this award was won by ODI captain  of South Africa AB de Villiers.

RAM SLAM Delivery of the Year: Jacques Kallis (dismissed Ricky Ponting on

day 1 of second Test match against Australia at Adelaide)

SA Newcomer of the Year: Kyle Abbott
