Ajmal included in all three formats

Pakistan Cricket Board has picked up their veteran spinner Saeed Ajmal in all three formats for their upcoming tour of Bangladesh. Ajmal who was banned by ICC for his illegal action was cleared by ICC in February.

 

Ajmal who was included in Pakistan squad for World Cup held jointly in Australia and New Zealand pulled himself out from the squad will be back for the team for the first time after being banned by ICC.

 

Pakistan’s ODI Captain Misbah Ul-Haq and all-rounder Shahid Afridi retired from ODI so Pakistan team will be led by their new Captain Azar Ali. Pakistan has also not included their former captain and veteran middle order batsman Younis Khan stating that they are giving him rest against Bangladesh in ODIs.

 

Pakistan selectors has included two new faces for ODIs. They have included wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan along with left-handed opening batsman Sami Aslam. Aslam was the captain of Pakistan U19 team that played U19 World Cup in 2014.

 

It is yet to be made the final decision of Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Cricket Board has said that the date is being delayed due to public holidays in Bangladesh and they will announce the date shortly. But it is believed that Pakistan are arriving in Bangladesh on April 13 and they will start with three match ODIs series from April 17 in Mirpur.
