Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltdprovided two-year sports scholarship to U-19 cricketers Aarif Sheikh and Sunil Dhamala.
The scholarships will see the two players getting Rs 20,000 for two years. The tie-up comes following the initiation from the Cricket Players Association of Nepal (CPAN) which has previously landed scholarships for three other U-19 cricketers.
Sipradi Trading Director Shambhu Prasad Dahal said the tie up was just a small gesture from the company. “We are taking this as a small token from our side. This has given us an entrance into the sports field. We will continue to support the cricketers and provide the two with more assistance in coming future as well,” said Dahal.
Aarif, vice-captain of the junior Nepali team that played the 2016 ICC U-19 World Cup, said the tie up has motivated him adding: “Hopefully, I will be able to perform better to justify scholarship provided by Sipradi Trading.”
Sunil, an opener in the junior team, thanked Sipradi. “I would like to thank Sipradi Trading for providing this assistance to us. There are other cricketers as well who need this kind of support because it will help them focus in their game,” said Sunil.
