A total of 18 players selected for U19 World Cup Qualifiers

A total of 18 players
has been selected for upcoming U19 World Cup Qualifiers, Asia Region on Monday.
Those players were selected from super league organized to select players
according to their performance.

Earlier a selection committee
headed by Venkatapathi Raju (Chief Development Officer – ICC-Asia), Jagat
Tamatta (Head Coach of Nepal) & Binod Kumar Das (Coach of Nepal U19 Cricket
Team) had selected 40 players and organized a super league.

Among the 40 players, 18
cricketers competing in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka were directly
selected and others made the cut from last year’s talent hunt and super
league matches. In last 18 also most of the players are from that pool.

Nepal will play Singapore,
Malaysia and Afghanistan in a double-round-robin league to be held in
Singapore with only the winners after the league making it to the 2018
U-19 World Cup to be held in New Zealand.
