Jan 03, 2018 | Cricketingnepal |
National cricket team skipper Paras Khadka has chipped in Rs 50,000 for the Nepali blind cricket team which is participating in the Blind Cricket World Cup scheduled for January 8-21 in Pakistan and United Arab Emirates.

The blind cricket team had to travel via road after it ran out of budget to cover the expenses for flight. It had appealed the National Sports Council (NSC) and government to provide them with flight tickets but to no avail.

Instead, the team is travelling via bus to Delhi en route Amritsar on train and then from Bagha border will leave for Lahore through train.

Through facebook account Paras has also appealed everyone to help the team. "Very sad to know that our Cricketers had to travel by train to reach Pakistan. They need our help and let us manage this altogether... Requesting everyone to help our BLIND CRICKETERS who have made the whole country proud time and again..!!"

The fund raising campaign for the visually impaired cricketers is run by Nepali Cricket Supporters Society.
