MCC Pokhara follows up MCL with Dubai tour

After successfully hosting the first ever city-based franchise cricket in the city, Pokhara’s Machhapuchhre Cricket Club (MCC) is all set to tour Dubai to play friendly matches with local clubs in a tour slated for November 17-22 next month.


In the five-day tour, MCC will play two friendly matches with Darjeeling Cricket Club at the ICC Global Cricket Academy grounds in Dubai on November 18. The match will be followed by a clash with Young Talents Cricket Academy of Dubai at the MCC Ajman the next day.


Darjeeling Cricket Club is one of the oldest amateur cricket club of United Arab Emirates.


As a part of their cricket development programme, MCC is planning to tour different countries to expose its players to foreign conditions and provide them a unique experience. After the tour of the Middle East, the club said its tour of Australia and England is also in the pipeline.


Deepesh Khatri will skipper the MCC side that also includes former U-19 international cricketer Abhay Rana, national cricketers Sonu Tamang and Suman Udaya.
