Jun 24, 2017 | Kaushal Adhikari |

Nepali junior cricketers preparing for the impending ICC U-19 World Cup Division 1 Asia Qualifier have begun their training in Noida on Saturday.

The 18-member team began their training at the Noida Cricket Stadium and are also scheduled to play few practice matches there.

Nepal will take on Singapore, Malaysia and Afghanistan in the double round robin league Asia Qualifier to be held in Singapore.

The Qualifier will be held in July. Initially, only the winners of the tournament were supposed to be at the 2018 U-19 World Cup but after the promotion of Afghanistan as a Test team, it is not sure how many team or teams would book the tickets to New Zealand.

The Nepali team is undergoing training from head coach Binod Das who is assisted by Kalam Ali.
