About The Player:
A left arm orthodox bowler Shakti is one of the most successful figures in Nepali cricket. The senior most player in the current national team, Shakti is actually a bowling all rounder who once opened
the innings for a Nepali U-19 national side.
He is the second Nepali cricketer to hit an international century which he did against Italy during the ICC World Cup Qualifying Series in 2004/2005, a feat he achieved after former skipper Raju Khadka
smashed a ton against Bhutan during the 2003 Emerging Teams Cup. Shakti played for Region No 4 Bhairahawa in the domestic cricket before joining the Nepal APF Club in 2010. His popularity reached further heights when Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals called him for a trial after he put a brilliant display during the 2012 ICC World Tweny20 Qualifiers in Dubai.
Shakti is the only senior Nepali bowler to take an international hat-trick, achieving it against Denmark during the Dubai Qualifiers. Shakti celebrated his hat-trick sliding down the field in a footballer's style -- suggesting he is a keen lover of football.
