Paras Khadka is the best player of Division-II

Although Nepal missed out promotion to Division-I, defeating the Netherlands, Namibia and Canada was the biggest positive for them.

 

On the final day, the Nepali camp was given with more positive news when skipper Paras Khadka was adjudged as the player-of-the-series in presence of some of the best cricketers in Associate cricket.

 

Paras was influential in Nepal’s performance with both bat and ball and most importantly his captaincy. Paras made 185 runs from six matches with an average of 30.83.

 

The Nepali skipper slammed two half centuries in the tournament with both of them coming for a winning cause. Khadka also picked up six wickets with an economy of 2.63.

 

Gyanendra Malla ended up as the leading scorer for Nepal making 236 runs. Malla was third overall behind Stephan Baard (249) and Gerhard Erasmus (241) of Namibia.

 

Karan KC returned with the best figures in Division-II with his figures of 5-26 against Canada standing at the summit.
